Any suggestins for the timber to use for a new deck on a 16" bond wood boat? want to get good colour and grain like the old boats from the 50's

Hi, I have just joined this forum as i have a 16 " bondwood boat (heartly hull i think) it had some aditions to the hull (ply canopy) that was very rotton and i have succesfully removed it yesterday and now just have the hull, i have found rot in the top bow and the transom has been replaced...
