    89 evinrude 30hp starter drive gear

    i have an 1989 30hp evenrude when i turn the key the starter spins but the drive gear that will turn the motor doesn't engage wondering if drive gear was bad and if anybody knows how to get it off

    1989 30 hp evinrude hard starting just had carbs rebuilt the only way it will start is if i put the warm up lever all the up and then it still takes a few minutes to start can hear choke soleniod clicking when you push the key in also has a new fuel pump new spaek plugs and good compresion on...
