    engine boggs at high RPM's

    I have a Johnson 115 HP 4 cycle that is bogging down at higher RPMS, it keeps going but hesitates. After I turn it off I notice gas on the water.     water leak

    engine starts and water is coming out of the thermostat wire next to # 1 spark plug, is that a replacable part? Sorry the motor is a 1990 Merc 40hp 4cylinder SN OC225906

    shifter out of sync

    Replaced the water pump impeller and somehow got the shifter out of sync.How do I get the shifter and lower unit back into sync?

    impeller problem

    I have a 1990 Mercury 40 HP 2 cycle and I put in new impeller kit but did not replace the housing. I was wondering what side the copper pipe goes up, the bend to the shaft or away from the shaft? All gasket were replaced and assembled correctly but I get no water stream.
