    I installed a tachometer on a 1983 mercury 50 hp years ago...... and a want to install one on a 60 hp mercury I put together this summer...the question I have is when I put it on the 50.hp there was a wiring harness that just plugged into the forward controls ( forward,reverse, shift lever key)...

    serial number mercury 1986

    were is the freeze plug on a 1986 mercury motor, 60 hp,,,,, need the serial number.....number must be behind something cause i can't see it .......have a 50 hp mercury and it stands out like a sore thumb....
