Will I be ok if I moor my i/o (raw water cooled) in salt water for 3 days fooled by a deep cleansing? Looking at camping for 3 days in the San Juans, not sure if I should ferry my truck over and trailer / clean the boat daily or go the cheaper easier way and drive the boat out to the island and...
Would not go into forward with lower off. Removed cables from shift plate, control went forward and back with ease. Tried turning foot to forward position, but it is stuck in a neutral / reverse position. Any advice???

Changed impeller. Somehow, even though we were extremely careful, something happened. We got on the water and put it in reverse... easy shifting backed out smooth. Turned and tried to go forward... lever would not go beyond neutral! took it out of...
I purchased a boat with a 1972 Mercruiser 165hp inline 6. Do I need to run gas with lead additive, or can I use regular? Ideally I would like to hook my kicker (07 yamaha 4 stroke 8hp) up to the main gas tank.
