    Re: idle speed Item numbers 4&5 is how you turn idle up or down. Loosen jam nut then turn screw in clockwise to raise idle or lower idle. You may need to perform a link and sink found at the first of forum page.

    Re: 1998 40hp force head tourque specs?? Welcome. You will want to torque to 225 inch pounds. Lightly coat threads and underside of bolt heads with marine 2 cycle oil. There is a pattern that you will need fallow.
