I just replaced the impeller on my new to me motor. Took the boat to the launch today and she fired up no problem. Had a bit of trouble shifting compared to other boats I have driven. Forward didn't engage as smoothly as what I would consider normal.

I don't have pics of the o - ring.... but it fits right behind the circle fitting in the center of the first pic.
It's not the triangle it's the rectangle style filter/pump.
I think it's weird that before and even after when I installed the automotive o ring it still...

The story is last year a friend sunk my boat. I pulled the boat out of the water, pulled the plugs, and turned it over to push out the water. Reinstalled plugs and fired it up at idle for 10 minutes. Ran good.
Fast forward through a ridiculously cold winter (boat was stored indoors)...
