Swedish so English might be bad.
Boat starts and runs good on idle.
Runs smooth on idle with gear.

I had an aftermarket starter, the oem solenoid didnt fit. Oem solenoid has 3 screw holes in a triangel. Mine had two diagonal holes (not the older one with ears) . Ive ordered a complete new starter.

No that one wont fit. It has two wings where you attach bolts. Mine has two holes on The back. The one ive ordered had three holes. I might have an aftermarket starter, IF I cant find any i have to order a complete starter.

Ive read that you can get year model info from the serial number.
I cant seem to find it.
When i bought it the seller stated that it was a 2000.
I ordered a solenoid for a 2000 but it was not the same.
Anyone who can help me translate the serial number?
Dont know what worked but the engine starts and run fine now. I will swap out positive and negative cables from battery. Thx all of you for taking the time to answer, especially you Scott. Vacation starts on thursday so hopefully we can spend it in the boat.
Todays update.
IF I pull one of the plugs out the engine starts with no problem. Works with all combinations, 124, 134, 234 etc. But not with all the plugs in. Tried to screw in The last plug with engine running but then The engine dies again. That might be a bad idea, i know. IF it didnt die...
I did a compression test and all cylinders was close to eachother.
What do you think could cause a weak spark? Feels like ive tried everything in ignition way.
Update.
Engine is still dead.
Tried another ignition coil, ignition module and replaced the pickup coil.
Did a compression test and that was ok.
Disconnected the gear switch.
Feels like the only thing left is to set The timing from scratch.
But seems strange that it would go bad from one...
Forgor to mention. We tried a friends rotor and cap who had The same engine. My cap really looked like it needs a replacement. But it Was no difference with his. Im also starting to suspect that The carb is clogged. The fuel filter looked ok but there Was alot of dirt in The cap that holds it.
