Hi all I hope someone could help me out a bit . I have a 1959 merc mark 58A that i just changed the waterpump on and now i dont have reverse or nerural.iam wondering how to remedy this .Also iam having trouble starting it .I have good blue spark and good fuel to the carbs.It is a manual start...
I have an old 1959 mercury 58a non elecrtic moter with the old two lever Quicksilver remote . As luck would have it both handles had hair line cracks on them just above the casing and they both broke off .I do have another control unit but it is a newer shifter/throtle with the tuck away fast...

Hi all ... I just aquired a 71 v142 in really decent shape . my plans are to put an old 59 merc mark 58 a on the back . I really dont know much about the boat and would like to here what others think about it . Is it a stable boat ? will my moter be powerful enough ? Iam really new to all this...
