I got power head off found rubber grommets melted shut getting parts using clymer Evinrude shop manual went step by step taking it apart now going backwards I read to install gearcase I never took the lower unit off to start should I now drop the lower unit before I install power head my engine...
if its 1934 would the engine cover be made of fiberglass an paint be Lt.blue&white the motor looks alot newer name on cover evinrude fisherman ser#4028-e10840 hp is 5 1/2 yours or anyone else that knows what year this motor is would be greatly appreciated big joe

81 evinrude mod# e15rcis was over heating I think the rubber grommet is bad have removed all the bolts and power head is still tight no way to pry it loose any way to break it loose with out breaking something else please help big joe
after having water pump replaced made three or four trips and engine got hot replaced thermostat runs for fifteen minutes or so and get hot what know 81 15hp evinrude :confused:
