Thinking of buying a complete 40 hp magnum with a hole in the crankcase for extra parts. It has the tilt trim everything it is complete for 250 bucks.
The number of motor i am looking at is 0D211840. I would like to know what year this is also.

I have a 1995 40hp mariner magnum. It takes about 10 or 15 seconds before water comes out of the tell-tale at start up. The engine shoots a steady stream at idle once it sprays out. Is this normal?
