    Tilt-trim problem on '95 150hp mariner Mag III

    Last two trips out, after loading onto trailer, when raising engine as it shifts from trim to tilt, I hear a grinding noise. Once home it will not make the grinding noise.     '95 Mariner Mag III - Has rattling sound at 4k RPM

    Everything seems normal, but I'm hearing a continuous rattling sound at mid range. Kinda reminds me of the sound of a car motor makes when one gets pinging from cheap gas.     What causes lower unit lube to turn BLACK, I mean REAL BLACK???

    Drained my lower unit this morning and the lube that came out was black as tar. I can't ever remember it looking like that. Do I have something wrong in my lower unit, or is it some kind of reaction. I keep my old lube to check for water, and I had the same volume of lube as the last change...

    Having Cooling Problems / Low water presure '95 150 Mariner

    Changed the water pump kit because of low water pressure and temp indicator showing middle of gauge temps. Have removed thermostats, cleaned some silt from the poppit diaphragm area, and checked the gauge for accuracy. Have a good tattle tale stream, but can only get 8# of pressure at 4200...
