My 3.0 TKS mercruiser wants to stumble or stall on acceleration until about 1800 rpm, runs great above this. I have replaced fuel filters, tuned engine with new plugs wires and cap/rotor. Carb was rebuilt in April. Can I remove TKS and run engine? whats best way to determine if TKS solenoid is bad?
I am working blind trying to remove the filter on the fuel pump and cannot get the safet wire off the bottom. What size is the screw on the safet wire?

I have a 9.9hp Force outboard. I installed a new Carb and water pump impeller. It is hard to start and when running, wont idle. It will get my 10' iflatable on plane but when you idle down it dies. I mixed new fuel and tried again with the same results.
