    Having problems staying in gear

    I've got a 12 hp sea king 54-58 model not exactly sure which year. The problem I'm having is when I open it up past about 1/4 throttle it slips out if gear and revs up. I haven't looked at it yet but wanted to get an idea where I should look, could it be as easy as adjusting the linkage ? Thanks

    Hello all, new here and looking for some help. I have what I'm assuming is an evinrude, possibly gale or sea king 12hp outboard. I've looked all over for a serial number but with no luck, the plate on the front of the transom mount is long gone and I don't know where else I can look to figure it...
