Retirement, anyone been there done that ?

Retired 5 months now. Retired early (58) for health concerns. Rotating shiftwork was killing me & no chance of getting off shift work, I love being on regular sleep and fishing whenever I want.. But something is seriously missing. Money isn't the issue. Perhaps we messed up the way we did it...

    Tube'n Teenagers

The kids want me to get one of those big tubes ya tow behind the boat so they can all hang on (& try to push eachother off). I have a 135 so I should be able to drag them around pretty good, but I will also need one of those universal ski tripods to keep the rope off the motor. I read that they...

    Bow/side lights

I am thinking of eliminating plugging in a bow light everytime the sun goes down. I am thinking of adding seperate side lights (red/green possibly LED) . There isnt enough room for a stationary bow light (due to trolling motor mount). Anyone do this on an Alum boat or is this a BAD idea...

    135 to 175 Worth it ?

First of all we like to run on the water..Most times Id rather drive than fish. My 2000 Lund Adventure 1800 has a 2000 135 Optimax. Runs great, just slow (to me) at 50 mph. The boat is rated for a 175. Ive been thinking about trading in the 135 for a 175.. HOWEVER.............. Dont know how...

12V oulet. "heres MY plan" *mysterious DC stuff.

ok, I want to add a 12V outlet specifically for a 4 cup 12V coffee pot. Naturally dont want a fire onboard or worse- an explosion. Here is my plan.. Check the amps drawn by the coffee pot (per manual) . Get a heavy enough 12V outlet and correct wire size per amp draw. Install an inline breaker...

Shopping the iboats store, I found a "Voltmeter, 8-18 VDC - Teleflex Marine" that looks to match the tan oem gauges of my Lund.. It should arrive anyday now..
