Was running great until a couple of days ago, now spins great but will not fire, not even a sputter trying to fire. This has been a very reliable motor to this point. Any ideas?? I have already checked the fuse on the motor and the emergency kill switch. Any other ideas??
The fuel tank on my 1998 Bayliner Rendezvous 2109GF is only a 37 gallon model. I want to add an additional tank and was wondering if anyone out there has done this on this model boat before. Thanks for the help.
I am looking at a 1998 Mako 191 CC with a 1998 150 Mercury. Am interested in any thoughts some of you may have about this particular model. Over the years I have heard that the 19 Makos' are very wet and rough rides. Any input would be appreciated. The boat I am looking in is in very good...
Has anyone out there used or seen a radar dome bracket system that can make the dome easily dismountable between trips. I need to be able to quickly dismount the dome.
Yesterday I purchased a 2002 ProLine 230 CC w twin Merc 150 EFI engines (2002 models). I noticed after running it for about 4 hours yesterday upon checking the bilge, a quantity of injection oil in the bilge; I had fully tilted the motors up to trailer it home some 70 miles. I had no problem...
Tested compression on my E235TXCOR powerhead this morning had 1 at 90 and all others at 95. I believe I have read before that it should check + or - 10%, but is 90 - 95 an adequate compression level.
Pulled the old thermostat out today and found it needing replacement; lots of crusties growing on it. Anyway, I visited our local parts shop and no luck, they can't even identify a termostat for a yamaha. Anyway I have a 1998 C40TRLW and I have visited numerous sites, including...
I am considering buying a 1997 Johnson 175 that has had a recently remanufactured powerhead put on it and the rest of the unit is in excellent shape, also includes a 60 day warranty. Price out the door installed on my boat with all hardware and a stainless prop is $6K. Is it worth it.

I have a 1998 2109GF that has a 120hp Force on it. We really enjoy the boat but the 120 is just too small so I want to mount a 175 Johnson on it but am concerned as to whether or not the transom was mfgd differently to hold the bigger engine. I called Bayliner today and they told me that the...
The model number is C40TLRW and the mfg date says 04/97, but when I went today to buy a water pump impeller the model number says it is a 1998. I also bought a Clymer shop manual for the motor but it indicates that a C40 is a 2 cylinder, but mine is a 3 cylinder. Call me confused...
