Just got a 2004 115 4 stroke merc from a reative he had stored it in his garage for years laying on its left side. What do I need to check on this motor when I put it upright. Thanks
73 115hp has set for quite a while got it started and running fine but the stream from the pee hole is real weak at idle. I pulled the plug on the back of the engine and it puts out a stream about 3/8" and shoots it three or four feet all kinds of pressure. I ran a wire up the peehole 18" until...
checked switchbox and rectifier all checked out, was running great now has spark at plugs and fuel but will not fire. when you switch the ignition off it will fire but not when you crank it. any ideas.
This motor set for a while so I replaced switchbox and rectifier. I had it running great. Ran it just three days ago. Went out to start it today and no fire to plugs but it fires when you are turning the ingniton off. Any ideas.
no water coming out of tube. ran wire up to where it comes out of engine. still no water. pulled plug on back of engine and water shoots out three feet so pump is working just not coming out tube at bottom of engine. where is it blocked.
I got a 72 merc 115 that had set awhile. I rebuilt the carbs and replaced the electronics I also removed the trigger and cleaned it. When we tried to start it,it fired right up and ran great but we have not been able to get the idle down into the proper range. Can the trigger be installed wrong.
