    Outboard won’t trim down enough

Yes it does but it’s maxed out on height. It was originally set for the prop. I have to remove and raise it a bit, then the jackplate will have enough movement to allow to me switch between prop and jet.

Yeah the river in my area is better run with a jet. Actually the transom needs to be raised, jet intake is sitting about 4” too low. Incase anyone in the future is wondering I think I solved my problem with “transom wedges” search it up.

Installed trim tabs and fish finder transom mount.... how do I know if it's leaking?

If it’s visible you can just look while it’s in the water. If it’s not visible I’m not sure there’s a way. Best thing to do for installation is to hog out a hole larger than you need for the screws or bolts, fill it back in with fibreglass and after cured drill the smaller correct size hole...

    Outboard won’t trim down enough

Hey I seem to be a bit stuck here. I spent the last year rebuilding a boat. I rebuilt the motor aswell however it was not original with the hull. Motor is a 105 Chrysler with a jet foot Boat I think is a fibre form Monterey, previous owner had a evenrude 115, this was not included with the...

Crack in cylinder wall, need insight....

That's honestly what I'm looking for, I just can't find one near me. I found a few good fits but I'd have to buy the whole boat. I'm willing to drive really far our and spend the night in a hotel if I can find one within 1000km of me.

Crack in cylinder wall, need insight....

I'm not sure I'd trust myself bring 10 miles into any body of water even with a new engine. Luckily we don't have anything like that around here. Can you elaborate on why it would need a rebore? The sleeve inside is not aluminum and I'd just be welding the aluminum block. But will the bracket...

Crack in cylinder wall, need insight....

Wow! Shipping to Canada must be really expensive on top of the conversion rate, but still cheaper than a new motor. Only thing is it takes the fun out of it. I noticed they sell blank sleeves. Does anyone have any opinions if I weld the block and replace the sleeve in the future? I probably...

Crack in cylinder wall, need insight....

Yeah I'm aware of the cracks getting worse. But theoretically, even if they made it all the way down towards the crank I'd still get compression correct? In denial again, however at this point I'd like to just salvage some more life out of it. What companies? I've searched online and I find a...

Crack in cylinder wall, need insight....

Thanks for the insight everyone. It's as I suspected but as you all mentioned I'm in denial. There really is no more money to sink into it.... It's all been paid for and just has to be put back together. At this point I am going to make the welds in an attempt to salvage my dignity and hope to...

Thanks Nordin, first time hearing of Belzona 1111. I don't think I'm going to use it on the crack in the block because I'm not sure how its going to react with the heat. However there will be a time this product will pop into my mind in a future product!

I find myself coming to these forums a lot for this project. So far I've gotten so many useful answers to fix my issues. However this one seems like its dreadful. Long story short... I bought my first boat, with my first outboard a 1971 105 HP. Motor had issues getting it started but I got it...
