    OMC 305 hard to start when warm

    I have a 1988 four winns chevy 305 OMC, it starts fine when the engine is cold, but after its warm its starts hard. I have to go to wide open throttle for it to start. What would cause this...Not enough fuel or to much? Spark plugs are burning good. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Does anybody know what the color or the part number is for a 1988 OMC 5.0L chevy engine? My engine is grey or charcoal grey? Thanks in advance.

    1988 omc 305 melted distirbutor rotor

    Four winns quit coming in. After further investigation the distributor rotor melted and made the inside of cap like a powder film. So I changed cap and rotor and boat tries to start for about one second and quits.Checked spark and it looks good. checked fuel pressure and filter at carb and all...
