    oil injection or premix the gas myself?

    I have a 1998 Merc 175 XR2 SportJet and thinking about removing the oil injection system and going to premix in the tank myself. Does anyone have experience on doing this and is it ok to do? What ratio should I mix, 50-1, 32-1, ? I appreciate anyone's input on this, thanks!

    Ride plate seal

    Does anybody know what the Ride Plate Seal does on my Mercury 175 XR2 sportjet? part # 8301231 Does it seal out water from getting into the engine bilge area?

    Impeller pitch 175 XR2 sportjet

    merc 175 XR2 Sportjet I have no hole shot power and can't get it above 35 mph. however the engine appears to be running and sounding great. could it be an impeller pitch issue?
