    Outdrive drained, can I run in neutral

    Drained the outdirve oil and it is chunky chocolate milk. Ordered a seal kit, still waiting for it. In the meantime, can I run the motor in neutral to diagnose, adjust, etc. or will it screw up the impeller and outdrive?? Thanks.
