1987 Bayliner with a 5.0 shut down in the water. No loud bangs or anything just lost power and shut down. Attempted to restart it and I can hear the starter engage but nothing turns over. Batteries were at 10 volts. I'm guessing something drained the battery, but what would drain the...
I have a 1987 mercruiser 165. I am taking the altenator off do replace a gasket in the engine circulation pump. I removed the main bolt that connects to the crankshaft but can't get the altenator off. Any ideas how?
I have an 87 mercruiser 165 four cylinder. I am dumping coolant somewhere. The spark plugs are good and the oil is clean so that would indicate its not a head gasket. Any ideas? Also how does this boat cool itself?
Any ideas on an 1150 115hp inline 6 that won't start? Battery and starter have been tested and both are good. The motor turns but doesn't fire. I have put new plugs and new plug wires on. I haven't tried to start it since. Just looking for what to look at next if it doesn't start?
