    When a boat needs an outdrive leg what does this mean? Is it an expensive fix? A hard fix?

    18' 1972 Glastron v-182 Boat with trailer, needs motor work, new gauges, re-wired, Berkley jet drive..... Besides the motor work which I need to call on to see what it needs when I get out of work. What about the boat? Is it a good boat? Any info appreciated or pics

    North Carolina Good Boating areas?

    I live in NC, and I am relatively new to NC (2 yrs here). Also, new to boating. What are the good freshwater boating areas in NC? I am located in Burke County, but they don't have to be close by.

    Different lakes rules for boating

    I am headed to Lake Lure in NC this summer. I was reading that they require a $250 boat permit for peak season for a week. Also, they require proof of liability insurance of $300,000. Is this a normal thing for lakes? I've never heard of this before.
