    hi all i have a 1973 65 hp johnson and i just rebuilt all carbs and did a water pump change along with the thermostat it starts and runs great for about 5 minutes or so then it dies.i put muffs on when i got home and it runs forever but when its in the lake it only runs for about 5 mins.im lost...

    rebuilt carbs

    hi all well i recently rebuilt my carbs on my 73 johnson 65 hp and i took it out this week end started up fine and seemed to be good til i gave it full throttle then all of sudden it just quit seemed like it siezed up but after a few minutes it started right up again and the same thing happened...

    hi have a 1973 johnson 65 hp. i touched neg cable to positive post by accident and now tach wont work.i still have good spark on all plugs and motor seems to run fine but the tachometer wont move any one have any ideas what could be wrong?
