Working on a 97 rude 50ESL w/ remote. Can't get any spark. I know the kill switch is frozen, can't insert the lanyard now. 2 days ago I could. Can i bypass the kill switch on the motor? can I rig a kill switch if I need one? Thanks for any help.

I checked the coil, both sides check out evenly. Approx 280 ohms each side. no shorts to ground. Other than the powerpack/regulator, what could be wrong? Thanks, please reply?
