I'm working on a 1959 Evinrude 50 hp outboard. Runs fine except for putting it in forward with the control lever. I can easily put it in forward at the motor. It seems to be a cable problem, but I have made every adjustment possible, including shortening the cable, but it needs to pull about...
Hi all,
Working with a friend on a 1959 2 stroke 4 cylinder 50 hp Evinrude. Had it running for 1/2 an hour on the lake then turned it off. Now when we start it, it runs for a minute then stops. Before we dig too deep ourselves (we are only somewhat handy), thought I'd ask for ideas.
