rebuilt fuel pump pressure testing 7plus psi on fuel pump tester for 98 johnson 15hp 4stroke.does not change via rpm advance. service manual says 2.5 psi @ 4500 rpm. is my pressure excessive.trying to fiqure out no idle condition.<br />thanks.
any one w/experience with idle circuit,my carb has no idle mixture needle,needle end has been machined smooth.only idles w/choke butterfly partially adjusted closed. thanks
1998model#j15frec,lack of wot,rebuilt fuel pump & carb.found ilde mixture screw machined smooth-hence no idle mixture needle. did omc make epa changes to carb.found needle point welded in carb body,three holes drilled into idle circuit on top of carb body. engine now running w/wot & idles...
