Okay I bought a 1987 Sea Ray Seville. The boat has new floors put in three years ago and is a beautiful boat. The 4.3 chevy engine has water in the oil so I pulled the heads today and found this crack. So, my question is where is the best place to buy a remanufactured engine.
I have a 1987 Searay Seville with a 4.3 engine that is junk. I found a 1988 Seville with a 4.3 that runs good. how can i be sure it will fit in my 1987? what things should i look at?
I have a 1989 Sea Ray that is not running at this time and will be having a rebuilt engine installed this winter early spring. i am concerned that there is water in the out drive and may freeze this winter. my question is how can i winterize it? thanks in Advance.
I have a 1987 Sea Ray. It has a 4.3 six cylinder I was quoted $ at a couple boat repair shops in my area. I called Jasper engines and they quoted $3600 for the engine. So I was thinking of just replacing it myself. I have changed many auto engines in the past so i am confident i could do this...
My 20HP mercury will start and run with throttle but will only idle with the prime button pulled out. i have cleaned carb (not rebuild) and fuel filter seems to be starving for gas what could be going on? before cleaning of carb it would not rev up at all just spit and sputtered.
