Motor has had alot of work done to it.
Carbs, fuleline, wire harness repaired, distributor housing.
It would start and run on the hose just fine, first put it in the water and it would not start or run.
I found that my timing was off very bad, fixed the timing problem. Put my idle at 4 and wot...
Looking for timing spec and idle speed.
Also there is a pretty loud knocking/tapping noise coming from the mid-section that I have never heard before??
Any ideas??

As title states. I have a 50hp force that the flywheel key will work for about 10 seconds and then breaks in half and throws the timing off.
It looks like the area that the key sits in is to damaged to hold it.
Another thing I noticed is that the flywheel seems loose.
Any ideas?
I just bought a 1991 Maxum scr2500.
There are no markings on it at all, but it does have the old style gear lube bottle thu the vent hole. But it has clips on the trim rams and not nuts??
Any help?
