Can anyone give me some advice on how to get the lower engine cover off on a E90TLETS 1993? Im trying to replace the thermostate but i cannot get in close enough to get it out since the lower engine cover is so close to the bolts?

Ok guys, any more suggestions. Pulled both carbs off this weekend and they looked clean as a whistle. I have fixed the hard starting by replacing all the plugs and following the "Hard starting procedures" from tashasdad but now it will just not idle right.

Went out this morning to go fishing and the cranking battery was dead and just last week it was fine.

What would cause my '93 evinrude 90/65 jet to be impossible to start without high idle? Once i get the motor started it runs fine but after i shut it down and fish for maybe a half hour she is hard to start again? Im going to go ahead and de-carb it this weekend and replace plugs.

Im looking for a part number and a place to purchase a Flushing adapter for a 1993 Evinrude 90/65 jet outboard motor. I have the screw on the outside above the grease fitting for the flushing adapter but cannot find the flushing adapter part anywhere online.
