im having a terrible time installing the outdrive on an omc cobra ..ford 5.0 liter 1992 engine..it goes in about 2 inches into the spline and then stops like the u joint is hitting something ....are there any tricks to it ???or is it just a fight till it goes in ????

im replacing a bilge pump that has a float on it .. my question is ... i have three wires to the pump .... hot ground ... and not sure what the other wire is for .... the bilge switch has a rocker type with a light ... any chance that completes the circuit for the light whne the pump turns on???
