Johnson 40 hp 2 cyclinder....oil coming out of prop & smokes - the new plugs getting wet with oil....the oil injection system below dash..new oil and gas...carbs cleaned...is it possible the oil injection system is faulty? Runs sickly..have to choke to keep running...new fuel pump last season...
Posted sunday and the feedback was great. Original post about back fire and missing....now...stills starts ok, but dies out if I play with the choke I can keep it running...theres new gas and oil..cleaned carbs.. cleaned gas filter..BUT I noticed excess oil in prop and plugs fouled...Have oil...
While out and starting to come in my 40 HP Johnson 2 cyl ran for 5-10 seconds and died...several attempts..had to get towed.
We cleaned carburetor and after several attempts to keep it running, it finally ran but backfired and smoked...new gas, new oil for the injection system...still runs rough...
