    How do adjust timing on 40HP envirude? 1990 2 clylinder Model Te40ELESR.I see the timing mark.What RPM ? What Degree? Iknow on auto you turn distributor.

    Engine runs rough at High RPM's 40 HP Evin

    My 40 HP Evinrude run fine til about 2500 -3000 rpms. Then it tries to red line.I have pull the thottle back .It starts and idles fine. Any ideas?

    Is there a fuse on the engine?Is the Neutral Safety Switch the Throttle handle.

    TE40ELESR Starting Toubles

    My first problem is I took off chock solinoid to find a leak then the motor would not turn over after re-installing. Nothing from key. I can jump starter solinoid and crank it. But not from key All fuses I can see are good.Is there a medchanical lock out?Robby in Spokane
