I have a 96 Johnson 112 v4 2 stroke outboard that bogs down when giving throttle. I found if I put the motor in netural and increase my RPMs and shift it back into gear it will run without bogging out.

When I start up the boat and put it in gear, if I give it full throttle, it bogs down and shut off I can only go about 4-5 mph however if I start the boat in neutral and have a higher RPMs if I shift it into gear and can now pick up speed without the motor bogging down. Does...

I have an 84 85 hp Chrysler outboard which starts up great but once I stop the engine and then go to restart it once I put it in gear forward she dies on me ,but the weird thing if i restart the motor and then drop it in reverse then forward it works ? weird!!!
