Signature

Current boats:
1998 Four Winns 240 Horizon w/ 7.4 MPI VP DuoProp
1990-something Deep Water 12' aluminum V-hull "sleeper" (Suzuki DF 15 w/ 9.9 hood decal mod); scary-fast, most frugal wakeboard and tubing boat!
1972 Eden Gig 12' fiberglass teak-trimmed lapstrake row boat (sail too); glides further than I'd care to swim on one pull of the oars. Factory acceptance in Gig Harbor, WA, delivered to Pender Island, B.C. via the Puget Sound under oar power.

Past boats: 1986 Starfire 22 Santa Barbara hardtop w/ 235 OMC
1986 Sea Ray 268 Sundancer with twin hot-rodded 4.3L Alpha Ones (28 mph cruise @14 gph (2 mpg)
1989 Sea Ray 22 Pachanga w/ 7.4/Bravo One, modded to ~ 425 hp (77 mph@WOT, cruise @40mph on 6.5 gph .... most fuel-sipping hot rod boat ever! (that's > 6 mpg)
1982 Sea Ray SRV 197 w/ Mercruiser 260/Alpha One
1977 Starfire 18 Apollo w/ OMC 235 (351W) electric shift. It was ugly yellow and the electric shift was a *#@% to get parts for an repair, but it was my first not-my- dad's power boat. Probably more fun per $ than any other boat I have had. Even when broken down it floated and burned a very economical 0 gph. A good day at the lake is 90% about being there, even if not in motion!
