    Next problem. I changed all seals in the lower unit, assembled everything and went to start it in the barrel. Strangley it started in gear. Sure, a lot of parts kind of fell out when I half-stripped the lower unit but there aren't that many loose parts. The shift rod can't be adjusted as far...

    Hi. I have no need to upgrade to 30 at the moment. That's maybe something I might consider later if needed. But the small butterfly opening at WOT is normal for the 25? When I converted my old 9.9 to 15 the difference wasn't that big.

    Hey guys! So I finally got the 18 and tested it yesterday. I gained 1.5 knots (from 20 to 21.5), a bit disappointing. Same boat, tubes inflated and checked and same weight. The 9.9hp (15) had a 8.5 prop and the 18 has a 9. Revs at WOT was 5700 on the 18. Any ideas? Check compression...
