I have a 24ft deck boat 150 ox66 planes out instantly just stays flat and goes i guess because how long my boat is, now im running 5400 rpm and doing low 30s so would it be worth going up 4 on pitch to gain speed loose rpm but i think i will still plane well and maybe save mpg
I bought a boat with no lower part of the outdrive but i found a whole outdrive with different gear ratio if i leave my upper that on my boat and just put the bottom part of the foot will my gear ratio stay the same

Im might buy a 2004 150 evinrude. its been winterized and we did a cold compression test , its been setting for 2.5 months, the numbers came all out to 100 all 6 cylinders do you think they would get back to 120 range once i start useing it again
