    Ihave a 175 johnson with a 4wire vro which needs to be replaced. can i use a 3wire vro from a 115? if so what do i do about the extra wire which is purple.

    flywheel removal 1988 johnson 175

    having trouble getting the flywheel off. have a puller connected and lots of pressure applied. afraid to crank down any harder, believe i have corrosion on the shaft. any tricks of the trade I can use to get it to brake loose.

    motor cranks fine and planes ok. after I trim outall at once it trottles down and loses rpm. I can put it in neutral and it idles ok but cant trottle back up.It will start cutting in like it has full power then cut out.sometimes real fast sometimes slower.it will do this for a few moments then...

    1988 johnson 175 vro.motor cranks fine and has full power, I can take off and trim the motor out and all of a sudden it loses power and throttles down on its own. I can throttle bak with the trottle and it runs ok bur wont rev up, After a minute or so it starts to get power back and it will go...
