hey folks got the engine in and outdrive lubed, took the boat out to lake washington... and it overheated at 2000..... figured out I installed the thermostat backwards.... ooops =]
so after installing my 160 degree thermostat, I took the boat out again to puget sound and it ran fantastic...
its a 351w and its brand spanikin new.
I seem to have a misfire. it wont idle, sounds like hell.... not like a new engine.
Seems to be gettin spark

well, got that bell housing all drilled, out, and she fits like a glove. =]
Now ive got the motor in the boat, with the whole drive connected. Im trying to hook up the solenoid bracket, and it wont line up for me.
Do these brackets go between the engine and the bell? It appears this is the...
thats right, I recieved an intermediate unit, for my omc 800/ 351w.
It arrived and the thing looks almost brand new..... so i was stoked to see it.
got new engine assembled with new manifolds, water pump... blah blah blah
went to install the intermediate to the engine, and the gall dang...
