    Humminbird sonar mounting

    I recently installed a new transducer on a dixie 16' fiberglass boat. I mounted it where the instructions said to but anytime I get on plane water shoots up the transom, and I can tell it is from the transducer. Is it mounted to high or too low, or what? any help would be greatly appreciated.
