    Any idea on my mercury's year.

    I just bought a 1983 glasstream with a straight 6 for $250. It is missing the lower unit, but has good compression in all 6 cylenders. The serial number is no longer present, but I found a raised number (9486262) on the carbeurator side of the motor. I was just wondering if anyone could help...
