    How to find right prop for Merc 7.5?

    I have a Merc 7.5 with a "spun hub". First, would it be cheaper to buy a new prop than to get the hub repaired? If so, how do I know what to look for in shopping for a new prop? If not, does anyone know of a good hub repair shop that I can mail my prop to and the approximate cost for repair?

    Mercury 7.5 runs only at idle speed

    I have a Mercury 7.5, not sure of the model, maybe somewhere between 79-81. I think the ser no. is 5527139.<br /><br />Anyway, it cranks easy. Goes into forward and reverse easy. Pulls away from the dock fine, but when I give it throttle, the motor winds out but doesn't push the boat along any...
