So I came across a 1972 6 hp johnson seaking in very good condition other than the shift handle is broken at the top I have a nother motor with the same handle and want to swap them out im hoping I don't need to remove the power head to do the swap? Anyone know the correct way of doing this...
Im changing gear oil on three motors and hoping I can use the same oil for all three. The motors are 1957 18 hp Evinrude # 15922, 1970 6 hp # 6002b and a 1975 50 hp Johnson # 50esl75b. I don't much shelf space in the garage with all my other junk. Also what type of oil should I use? Thanks

Hello I need a gas tank for my 1970 evinrude 6 hp outboard motor 6002b. does anyone know if I need a metal tank or can I use plastic? I have a pressured gas can for a 57 18 hp motor can I convert it over to work on my 6 hp?
