    gas coming from exhaust

    I have a 91 Yamaha 70 HP and gas is all around the outboard when I start up. What could cause gas to come out the exhaust like this into ocean?? I have other issues like stalling at low RPMS, 4-5 second hesitation during acceleration and hard starting.

    I bought the steering nut to keep the steering tube greased on a 1991 70 Yamaha HP. I want to make sure its installed on the correct side of the motor. Does it go on the left side of the motor where the steering rod moves in and out ? Or on the right side, where the cable comes in?
