    TACH METER ???

    got my boat out the lake today, it ran very well, strong and fast...it ran about 35 mph...here is the concern i have with the tach on my boat. i max out the throttle, it ran about 35 mph, but the tach needle went to the maximum rpm (tach meter is 7000rpm). is that normal? when it on neutral...

    1989 bayliner 1700 capri with o/b 85 hp, it died when i shift and slow.

    I brought this boat 89 bayliner with o/b 85hp on ebay last couple months ago. It runs great when i can get it shifts forward/reverse, but sometime when i shift it, it died on me. Is there any fix for it? with some reason, my boat only goes 21 mph....is there reason why? I am thinking about...
