Can the water pump impellar be inspected/replaced by unbolting and dropping the lower propeller housing? I was able to do this with my 3HP Evinrude,where the drive shaft and housing dropped together.

Have just brought engine out of a 30 year nap.
Checked out all hoses and reoiled lower unit.
