Can as many of you give an opinion on if you think it is worth repairing a 22 year old 120 hp johnson. It has no spark right now and I do not have the special equipment to check the coils and stator and other items. Please let me know what you all think. Thanks
Can anyone tell me about what year that motors had connections to hook up to computers to tell the technicians what the problem is or how many hours are on the motor?
I have a 1989 johnson 120 hp. I just recently rebuilt the carbs. It starts good and runs great up to 3/4 throttle. From there to wide open it starts to cut out and run rough. Back off to 3/4 and it runs great again. I need help. Any ideas.
How would I take the VRO system totally out the mix? Can I get a fuel pump that would take it's place or do I need a fuel pump? It is on a 1989 Johnson 120hp.
I have installed a temp gauge on a 1989 120hp Johnson. Where the sensor screws in to the head seems to have some space between the end of the sensor and the head itself. This is a OMC sensor. Should I put anything in the hole to help conduct the temp from the head to the sensor? Thanks
I have put in a temp gauge on a 1989 Johnson 120 looper. Do I need to put something in the threaded hole it screws into or will just screwing it in be enough? it seems like there is some space between the head and the sensor.

I have a johnson 120 1989 year. I put new kits in all the carbs. Fresh gas. I can squeeze the bulb till it gets hard. I see no leaks. When I took it to the lake it ran good for about 15 min. then it died. It started back up but will not get above 2500 rpm with the throttle all the way down. I...
