    Checking oil in DP-c1

    How do i properly check the oil in my DP-C1. Took it to a boat shop and they filled it. Ran it one weekend and figured id check it out. Its not on the dip stick at all. But if you read the manual they say to fill it to the fill plug. So should i add more oil untill its on the dip stick?

    Need help with boat Bimini Cover Rubber

    So i bought a 22' Celebrity and it came with a Bimini cover. It has a rubber seal on the edge that is supposed to clip into the front window to make a seal for wind i guess. This rubber is dry rotted, is this something that i can get replaced? Where can i buy it?

    Polish wind screen on Ski boat?

    I have a 95 Celebrity with a Vision 2000 wind screen. The middle glass folds over so you can walk through and it lays on the passenger side screen like most boats. My middle screen has become opaque where it has rubbed for years on the other screen. Can these be polished to be clear again...

    What other lower gear cases work with my DP-C1. I might be better off buying a used lower to get me floating again. My local shop quoted me 2500 for the 3 gears that are bad in mine.     5.8FL Penta Duo DP-C1. Bad lower foward/reverse gears

    I went to replace my lower seals and when i pulled the Carrier out, i noticed my forward/reverse gears have chipped teeth. What could cause this? Is it normal? Obviously they will have to be replaced. The boat didn't have any symptoms or noises. Thank you

    5.8 Volvo Starter

    So the starter sometimes works fine, others i have to cycle the key many times to get it to turn the motor over. Im assuming a bad solonoid or dead spot on the starter windings. Are the marine starters the same as a truck? Thank you, Kyle

    Quick question on over filling lower unit

    Could over filling a DP-C1 with oil cause it to shift hard from foward to reverse. I thought maybe my cable was going bad, but tonight i noticed that the unit is indeed over filled. Im probably 1/4" above the max oil level line.
