    How do i adjust the fuel mixture correctly<br />on my 8 hp honda ?<br />there are 2 adjustments, one for idle speed the other for mixture.<br />somehow it got out of whack, and i want to get it<br />back to normal again.<br />also is there an element in the air intake to clean?<br /><br />thanks

    1990 50hp evinrude

    50hp 2-cylinder runs like a top.<br />Only problem i have is cold starts.<br />the motor starts quickly, but then wants to die unless i prime it, sometimes 5 or 6 times.<br /><br />then as soon as it warms up, it runs great.<br />In the summer this is not an issue, only when cold outside.<br...

    over oiling fuel

    This may be a dumb question ....<br />if you get too much oil in your fuel mix, say 40:1<br />instead of 50:1, are you likely to experience problems other than fouled plugs and smokey exhaust ? ?<br />my understading is better a little too much than not enough<br /><br />Thanks

    black box

    Does anyone use a black box on their fishing boat?<br />i bought one a couple months ago, and i cannot honestly say it has made a great difference.<br /><br />I the fish are there i catch them, if not i buy a steak.

    2-STROKE OIL

    I noticed there is a big difference in price between <br />regular 2-stroke @ $3.29 a litre as compared to premium at $7.99 a litre.<br /><br />i have always run the cheaper oil which has TC3-W in it. is there a huge difference in quality or performance ?<br /><br />Thanks, and Merry Xmas !

    skegguard

    I received my new skegguard and installed it last week. It looks great (after seeing a broken skeg for the last 3 months)<br />I wish someone would market the product in Canada.<br /><br />the only draw back is the price.<br />With freight and exchange it cost me $143.69 canadian.

    GELCOAT OXODIZED

    WINTER STORAGE

    My boat and motors live outside year round due to the fact i do not have a garage to store it.<br />i waterproofed the canvas with a silicone based spray.<br />I run the motors peridocally to keep battery charged and gas fresh & drain plug is out, so water can escape....<br />any other tips?<br...

    I use my boat with 50hp evinrude all year...<br />we do a lot of winter fishing ,weather providing.<br />question is, how long does it take for fuel to gum up?<br />i run mid grade( approx 90 octane)<br />when the storms start arriving in november sometimes the motor does not run for 2-3 weeks...
