I have a new-to-me 1978 Johnson 6 hp I bought without a gas tank. I have two gas tanks available: a big Evinrude Cruise-a-day tank and a 2.5 gallon Mercury tank. I like the Mercury tank's size and can easily adapt the hose to connect to the Johnson motor.
